David Lewis, MIES, has been appointed Lighting Director to the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, after a successful bid against American and European companies. David is Principal of DLLD Television Sports Lighting Consultant in Sydney and had a long association with Philips Lighting.

The mission of the Technical Manager, Lighting is to ensure that the lighting of all Olympic sports at all venues meets the high standards of global televised broadcasting. After some preliminary work in April, David will move to Athens in January 2003 and remain until the end of the Games in September 2004.
