"Partners’ Night" Dr. Mick Campion Gynaecologist HRT or NOT? Dr Michael ("Mick") Campion, gynaecologist, also spoke last week as the Guest Speaker of the club. Mick’s subject was a difficult one, hormone replacement therapy, and perhaps the subject matter accounted for the unusually large number of apologies(!). However it was a wonderful partners’ night, and we were all treated to the latest statistics about HRT, its advantages and its contraindications. Please see the insert which comes with this bulletin for copies of the slides which Mick showed. Not yet available on-line The bottom line to Mick’s informative talk was, however, that it is every woman’s personal choice. In his experience as a gynaecologist, however, Mick has witnessed, in the USA, amazing youthfulness amongst the women who have been taking HRT for a long period. |
