Euan Watson
Job Talk Wednesday 21 May 2002
The Bulletin(28 May 2003) reports:
Dr Euan Watson was born in New Zealand (sometime in the
Dark Ages), attended Auckland University, eventually studying at Dunedin
Medical School.
Against all odds(!), Euan married the beautiful Leedy
in 1967, when he also graduated.
A capitalist even in his student days, Euan became a
landlord while still a student. As a young doctor, Euan tells us he
delivered 873 babies in 15 months; quite a feat (helped a little by the
mothers, we believe).
After a stint of service in the flying ambulance, Euan
and Leedy travelled to Australia in 1970, where the young medico worked,
at St George Hospital, for a year. In 1971, he opened a practice in
Bankstown, where he has remained ever since.
Euan joined Rotary in 1990, where he has continued to
be a valued and vigorous member.
