Lillian is the chief executive officer and DON at Woodfield Retirement Village.
Lillian also happens to be wife of President-elect Keith Stockall, surely a job which takes just as much tact, energy and time!
Woodfield employs a staff of 160 and caters, to a considerable degree, for the aged Chinese community hereabouts.
Lillian’s video, a family production put together with help from cousin Caroline and daughter Kate, detailed how the "Wellness Program" at Woodfield makes physical activity for the frail and elderly, fun. The dramatic reduction in falls, alone, proves the value of the ongoing program, which has been running for about a year now. Lillian’s motto is "More People, More Active, More Often." Everyone at Woodfield is involved in the program, which becomes quite competitive amongst the patients. A dancing program is the next step towards total fitness for the elderly. An outpatient may also be possible in the future.
Lillian’s talk was informative, compassionate, and well-illustrated by the video which clearly showed the patients and staff enjoying the activities. Clearly, growing old is fun at Woodfield
