President George's

21 December 2005

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year is the traditional wish to friends and family.  For the last Chit Chat of the year that is certainly my wish to all Rotarians and families.  Have a very Happy Christmas and a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.

I have been reminded that it is a downhill run from here and am not quite sure whether this is a sign of regret or one of relief that change is coming!  However DG Bill has the same experience so I am not alone.

The children’s Christmas Party was quite successful last week with well  over 20 children and over 30 adults in attendance.  Mr Alacazam did his magic tricks and entertained the audience.  Father Christmas made an appearance with presents for all the children and Alan Peterson did his bit too.  The BBQ meal seemed to be well received so a good night was had by all in attendance.  Perhaps we should have stressed that it was not just a night for those bringing children.  What a marvellous thing hindsight is!

I represented the Club at the Homebush Boys High School Prize giving last Thursday.  It was quite a big night at the Adventist School.

In some breaking news the Carols in the Park night raised a total of $3375.00 less some small expenses.  A terrific result by the team.  Thanks to all concerned.

Have a great night tonight.  Merry Christmas – Happy New Year.

See you at Botoli Chinese Restaurant. 地址, 66A Burwood Rd Burwood, 11th January, 2006

Enjoy Rotary,
