Success!! In spite of one or two faux pas by your truly the Tri Club meeting was judged to be very successful. Perhaps one or two may have thought oh we have heard it all before but at the end of the evening comments were “what a good presentation” and “what a good night, we should do this kind of thing more often”. Two excellent speakers in Joy Gillett and John Heslop held everyone’s attention making it a memorable evening.
Thank you Assistant DG Peter Davidson for your initiative. As a bonus we were able to donate over $500.00 to both the Rotary Foundation and The Australian Rotary Health Research Fund from the evening surplus.
Brian Johnson as we know runs a very good raffle each week. The Police Awards, next week, being a special night Brian has requested that the money be donated to a specific charity. The raffle prizes will be very special that night. I am sure that we can meet Brians’ request.
DG Bill Little wrote to the Club lat week thanking us for our hospitality during his visit and as well as listing some causes that he feels particularly strongly about. Bill asked us not to forget the fellowship and fun that goes with being a Rotarian.
