What a wonderful night of good wine, fun and fellowship we experienced last week thanks to the organizational skills of Peter Manenti and the staff of Cabarita Cellars.

It was a pleasure to see members and partners enjoying themselves and relaxing in the informal atmosphere of the evening. Thanks to your generosity we were able to add an extra $485.00, from the raffle proceeds, towards the Chalmers Road School Bus Funds.

Our next partner’s night is our Christmas Party on Wednesday 9th December, followed the next week on December 16th with the Children’s Christmas Party, and it is good to see a strong attendance commitment to both occasions, where we hope the entertainment arranged by Ian Albertson and Connie Galletta will provide a happy festive spirit.

By now all members would have received a block of tickets in our Christmas Raffle, with all proceeds to aid in the restoration of the Girl Guides Hall in Ismay Avenue, Homebush. I encourage you to try and sell as many tickets as possible as this is a worthy local community project. Special thanks to Doug Potter, Peter Manenti and George Helou for their generosity in providing the major prizes and enabling the club to achieve a maximum result. The raffle will be drawn on Saturday 12th December during The Carols in Strathfield Park, where we will be providing our barbeque delicacies, glow sticks and song books.

Tonight we welcome Bruce Roberts and Douglas Holmes from The Hearing Voices Network

Cheers,

President Kevin
