Last weeks guest speaker,
Patrick Dodd from Sydney Harbour Federation Trust, gave us an
insight into the many “jewels” in and around the Harbour which
are all accessable to the general public. A most enlightening
presentation.
Thanks go out to Tony
Lanzafame and Tony Brown for assisting in the Sergeants role as
Joe Campisi is on leave of absence till at least the new year.
Last Friday night I, along
with International Services Director Paul Giammarco, attended
the second Presidents meeting for the Rotary year. One of the
DG’s pet projects for the year, the Village Aid Program, asks
for each club to consider a donation to the program of $300.00.
This willl be put to my board at our next meeting.
So far there are 200
registrations for the District Conference and the Thursday night
to Gulgong has only 20 places unbooked.
Looking forward to our
Pride of Workmanship Awards night tonight as I always do.
It is great to see those
with strong work ethics being recognised for their hard work and
dedication.
LAURAS’ CULTURAL EXPERIENCE
For those who are not aware
Rotary has a Youth Exchange Program and our Club are fortunate
this year to host a delightful young woman , Laura Fleurquin,
from Rodez in France. Normally Laura would be at our meeting,
however she is at school camp this week
