Thanks to Niall King and his Committee for once again organising and running the highly successful fund-raising golf day and dinner, held last Thursday. Thanks also go to those who assisted on the day. Approximately $ 30,000.00 was raised on the day for the Trish Multiple Sclerosis Research Fund. Well done fellows.
On Sunday Janet and I, along with a few other Strathfield Rotarians and their partners, attended a BBQ lunch organised by the provisional Rotary of Breakfast Point .
A highlight of the day was watching Peter Foss imitating Shane Warne out on the cricket pitch, bowling a maiden over.
All in all it was a great fellowship/getting to know you day. I understand that the Club has 18 paid-up members, so it is expected that it will be Chartered very soon. We should all be thankful to the ‘Dynamic Duo’, Peter Foss and Harley Tarrant, for their efforts in getting that Club to the stage it is now.
Looking forward to the presentations by our recent RYLA attendees tonight.
