Wonderful presentation last week by Rotary Exchange Student Johanna Iskandar, talking of her experiences during her trip to France. Always good to see the youth of today expressing their appreciation of the opportunities made available to them by Rotary. Well done Johanna.
We should all be pleased to see the formation of a new Rotary Club in our District, particularly one which our own Club has sponsored. Thanks to the hard work of PDG Harley Tarrant and PP Peter Foss we are tonight witnessing the Charter of the Rotary Club of Breakfast Point. We wish the foundation members of Breakfast Point Rotary Club many successful and enjoyable years in Rotary.
For those who are not aware, Laura Fleurquin, our inbound Exchange Student is now on her outback trip. Laura will be at only one more Club meeting on her return (18th June). I am of the opinion that Laura has been an excellent ambassador for her country, and a shining example of why Youth Exchange should remain as an important part of International Service in Rotary.
Remember Club Changeover on 27th June is a transfer meeting from 25th June. Wonderful food and entertainment to be had at only $40.00 per person. Dress is optional Black Tie. Come along and see Grahame True, President Elect Electric, invested as President of your Rotary Club for 2008-09. Always a great finale to a wonderful year in Rotary.
