Our guest speaker was Colin EMERSON, the Principal of TODAY! Seminars.
Colin was introduced by Peter Smith. Colin is a newly inducted member of the Sydney Cove Rotary Club. His subject was ‘Achieve Results You Only Ever Dreamed Of’.
Colin has presented 400 Seminars over the last 27 years and in addition has written a book – ‘How an Ant Ate an Elephant’. He has written a second book – ‘Be a Billion Dollar Leader’ which is about to be launched.
TODAY! Seminars aim at providing excellence in business, leadership and personal development programmes, conference seminars and key note presentations.
Colin believes in the ability of people to achieve outstanding results through a series of key points –
VISION – to make a difference.
VALUES – within business and personally.
MISSION STATEMENT – people have to understand what the end goals are.
ACTION – how can I do it better/faster. Do little things slowly.
COMMITMENT - to make a change.
Colin stressed the importance of company culture and management leadership. He also highlighted the importance of people within a company. He also stressed the inter-relationship between management and staff and the need for management to understand the contribution that can be made.
