President Usha's Message
24 December 2020
Dear fellow Rotarians
What a year it has been!
Challenges everywhere, to say the least, professionally,
socially. Constantly adapting to these challenges to our ways of working and
With ‘cancelled’’ and ‘’postponed’’ splashed across many events, we kept our
meetings going, keeping in touch with all our members under constantly changing
circumstances. We rose to the occasions as true Rotarians and managed to raise
money through BBQs and also successfully host many events, all the while keeping
within the pandemic safety guidelines.
The holiday period is a time for rest and reflection, what we have personally
achieved and the role we have played in helping ourselves and others. This was
the year where very small acts of kindness had a big impact.
There seems to be no end in sight yet, but glimmers of hope are starting to
appear on the horizon. We go forward into 2021 in the belief that we will be
able to do much more. We certainly have a bursting pipeline of activities and I
remain very optimistic.
On behalf of the Board, I wish you all a merry Christmas and a healthy, happy
and prosperous New Year. Enjoy the break and stay safe.
