Strathfield
Rotary Club President Trevor Duxbury produces a weekly column called
"Trev's Tidings"
"
... This week, we have our traditional ANZAC Day breakfast at Cape
Cabarita. It’s a time when we remember those who have made the ultimate
sacrifice and for us to appreciate how fortunate we are to be where we

CLUB HISTORY
on 19 April 1971 the Charter for the Rotary Club Strathfield was
presented by the then District Governor Harry Picket
representing Rotary International at the investiture of our
Charter President Bill Boyce.
The first 25
years of the Rotary Club of Strathfield was compiled into a
history by PP Maurie Moroney and produced as a written document.
Some of us still have copies. Lesley Smallwood who did the
design and layout of the original document has provided me with
a series of PDF files that can be collated and used as an
electronic record. Over the coming weeks these documents,
relating to each year, will be available through the enews.

PAST PRESIDENT KEITH STOCKALL
SEEKS OUR SUPPORT
Keith
Stockall says "I'll be participating in a 2-day cycling event on the
weekend of 13/14 October 2012 called The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer
Cancer® benefiting the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse at RPA.
I'll be cycling over 200 kms, throughout outer Sydney, with other
riders. All the proceeds will help build the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse at
RPA, a world-class cancer treatment and research facility providing
integrated care and support services to public and private patients.
I've agreed to raise at least $2,500, so here's where you come in
because I need your help to do that. Could you please consider making a
donation and keep in mind the commitment I'm making.
I'm riding, to do something BIG about
cancer. I hope that you'll share this challenge by supporting me in my
fundraising efforts.
Click here to visit my personal page to
donate; and thank you in advance for your generosity!"
Rumour has it that Paolo Giommarco may also ride in this event
