My fellow Rotarians and friends of Rotary,
Time to celebrate!
Most of us in Australia think of Christmas as a time of goodwill, peace and
giving. Many of our Rotary clubs make extra donations to charitable
organisations and to international projects.
Christmas in our world community reminds us that we have differences but
share a concern for one another and enjoy giving and value peace and
cooperation.
Our Club Christmas Party is on Wednesday 15 December at 6:30 pm for 7:00 pm
at Strathfield Golf Club. It is shaping up as a night not to be missed.
There will be lots to do - fellowship, dining, dancing, having fun, enjoying
each other's company, and celebrating the coming Christmas Season. If you
have not already booked for this very special evening, please get in touch
with our organisers, PP Grahame True and Anita Sajo.
After a brief break due to the pandemic, the much-loved Strathfield
Christmas Carols is back for 2021 and will be at Strathfield Park on
Saturday, 4 December. The Rotary Club of Strathfield is collaborating with
the Strathfield Council to embark on this night of celebrations
Please join the fun with carols singing, dancing, face painting, a petting
zoo and a jumping castle. Keep your eyes peeled for a particular visitor
from the North Pole. Also, stay after the Carols for a special
'Movies-in-the-Park' screening of a Christmas Carol (2009). So, pack a
picnic, bring a blanket, and with your family and friends enjoy this
traditional and fun-filled start to the festive season. Covid safety
restrictions apply, including QR code check-in, proof of full vaccination,
capacity limits and social distancing
"Christmas is most truly Christmas when we
celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most."
