My fellow
Rotarians and friends of Rotary,
HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2022!
The best is yet to come!!
I am
delighted to pass on my warmest best wishes for a happy, prosperous and safe
2022.
I will
resist my natural tendency to predict what this coming year will be like
other than to say every year is different. But, like the previous years,
this one has already delivered unexpected challenges. I can promise that we
will strive to continue providing service to our community that meets
genuine needs and responds to our community's changing situation.
I am
looking forward to continuing our Club's work on great projects and
strengthening the Club's foundations for the next century of service and
fellowship. I hope you will share this commitment.
While we
will all be glad when the pandemic is truly over, and we can hug our loved
ones again, let's remember to celebrate the positive new norms that have
come from the struggle.
We
finished last year with a grand
Christmas celebration (click). I take this opportunity to thank our
wonderful organising committee comprising Grahame True, Penny True and Anita
Sajo. After a couple of years, being on the dance floor was the highlight of
the night. I hope all who attended enjoyed a night of fun and fellowship.
Well,
this month marks the halfway point of this Rotary Year. Time certainly does
fly by. As we move into the New Year, there are still many opportunities to
do good in our community and around the world. I ask that each of you
continue to think of ideas that will bring goodwill and service to our
community and let me know how the Rotary Club of Strathfield can make it
happen. All my best for a safe and happy New Year to all of you - once
again.
